Measure Neck Angle—Setting the neck back-angle is extremely important in the playability and sound of an acoustic guitar. The neck is not quite parallel to the soundboard. It tilts back, allowing the strings to cross the saddle at the ideal height for sound, without letting the action get too high for playability.
