Trim top flush with sides

Route binding ledges (cutaway)—Smooth (Venetian or drop-shoulder) cutaways get an extra piece of binding where the cutaway meets the main part of the body. Florentine (pointy) cutaways get two extra pieces.

Cutaways add quite a bit of labor. And they are more likely to break while bending—adding to the cost of material.
