Gluing binding

Finished binding—After the glue is dry, I scrape if flush with the surface. Now it starts to look like a guitar. Maybe this is why I enjoy binding so much. It is the transformation from a woodworking project to a real guitar.

I like herringbone and abalone, but when its up to me, I usually go with simple black and white wood lines. (I don't like the extreme contrast of plastic lines.) I change the order and number of lines depending on the tonewood color, and how "formal" I want to be. This one is simple black/white/black because I didn't want the pufling to compete with the bright turquoise rosette.
